Hello everyone, I'm Akshay Anil Shende, and today I'm excited to share with you my journey from being a civil engineering student to mastering the art of business and management. It's a path filled with diverse experiences, challenges, and a continuous quest for learning.

The Foundation: Civil Engineering and Construction Management

My academic journey began with a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering at the Dr. D Y Patil Institute of Engineering Management and Research, followed by a PG Diploma in Advanced Construction Management from the National Institute of Construction Management and Research. These experiences laid a solid foundation, teaching me the intricacies of engineering and the importance of meticulous planning and execution in construction projects.

Stepping into the World of Business

Transitioning to business, I pursued a Masters in Management at SKEMA Business School. This shift wasn't just a change in discipline; it was a leap into a world where analytical skills meet strategic thinking. Here, I learned to look at problems from a managerial perspective, blending my technical background with new insights into business strategy and development.

Real-World Experiences: From Store Manager to Content Analyst

My professional experiences have been just as diverse as my educational background. Managing Royal Super Market, I honed my skills in customer retention and strategic product placement. As a Site Engineer at Sundar Madhav Construction, I led a large team and improved profitability through efficient vendor procurement processes. These roles taught me the value of leadership, strategic planning, and the importance of customer-centric approaches in business.

In my recent role as a Content Analyst Intern at Admitas Advisory Services, I combined my analytical skills with my passion for helping students in their international education journeys. This role was not just about data analysis; it was about understanding client needs and ensuring their satisfaction—a crucial aspect of any successful business.

Certifications and Achievements: A Commitment to Continuous Learning

Continuous learning is a core part of my philosophy. I've completed certifications like the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt program and delved into strategy consulting simulations. These achievements are testament to my commitment to staying updated and proficient in my field.

Volunteering and Leadership: Beyond Professional Responsibilities

I believe in giving back to the community and have been actively involved in volunteering. Leading events at SKEMA Ventures Club and being a part of the organization committee for various events have been enriching experiences. They taught me the importance of teamwork, leadership, and the impact of contributing to society.

Conclusion: A Journey of Growth and Diverse Experiences

My journey has been anything but linear. It's a mosaic of experiences across engineering, management, and business, each phase teaching me something valuable. From understanding the technicalities of construction to mastering the nuances of business management, I've learned that adaptability, continuous learning, and a client-centric approach are key to success in any field.

I hope my story inspires you to embrace diverse experiences and challenges in your career path. Each step, no matter how different, adds a unique value to your professional journey.
